Welcome to the foreign language center LIVINGSTONE!
Our school was founded in 1993 and for the full sixteen years it had worked under the name "Bami". Since its foundation until this day, the school has continuously developed. At first we only organized English language courses for school children, but over the years we've expanded our activities from English to French and Russian language courses and also removed the age limit of our users so today we successfully work with all ages - from preschool to adults. In the spirit of such development, the school has grown into a foreign language Center and, in 2009, has gotten a new name - LIVINGSTON. We also organize a summer English learning school in Great Britain. The school successfully cooperates with "Veljko Dugosevic" elementary school, preschool insititutions and professional organizations who deal with modernizing the education of our country (YALS, ELTA, British Council). Livingston centar is included in the European trend of general control of service quality regarding foreign language teaching. A well-trained team of professional, experienced and motivated lecturers, psychologists and pedagogues has made our sucess possible, and all of them are equally interested in their laungages as well as working with the students. Our team of lecturers continuously improves on themselves and follows the contemporary developments in foreign language teaching. *********************************
Methodological approach
Methodological approach to teaching is holistic. Our goal is to take language learning, our natural need for communication and curiousity towards other cultures and merge them into a unique, natural and entertaining whole. In our activity we use experience.
• Communication method: we learn any foreign language in order to be able to talk, share ideas, confide, get to know and understand other people and cultures.
• "Brain-friendly" approach is based on the modern researches on how the brain works - the information is presented so that it activates different kinds of intelligence.
• Consciousness development regarding the learning process: our students learn which techniques of learning are best suitable for them. Consciousness about learning is a skill which can also be used later, outside our classrooms.
Organization of lessons is done in small groups (3-8 students) Special attention is given to monitoring every student's progress during the course. Upon completing the course and passing the final exam, our studens recieve certificates of attendance and mastering certain levels. Levels of knowledge are clearly defined accordig to the universal European frame for languages and programmes are carefully selected to suit the students' age, prior knowledge and needs.
School Ambience
School ambience is pleasant - the classrooms are equipped with modern video and audio devices and computers which are actively used in lessons. Encompassed in the school's offices is a well-stocked library which is at our students' disposal.
A novelty in our activities - since 2009 we organize summer English school in Great Britain. This experience crowns, in a special and unforgettable way, our entire work during the past school year. Of course it allows for building new friendship and contributes to overall personal experiences.

Pre-schoolers
Our youngest students can enjoy special activities which are playful in their nature and activate kinetic intelligence. Movement is linked to linguistic content, using touch and sense stimulation, intensive colours, pleasant sounds. Language is learned using materials which are also intended to develop emotional maturity, encourage development of positive emotions and nurturing a pleasant way of communcating. We sing accompanying instruments, paint and learn traditional games of other nations as a usual activity in our lessons.
