CARE AND ASSISTANCE TO THE ELDERLY AT THEIR HOMES
Research indicates that the general psychological and physical condition of the elderly who live at their homes is better than those living in institutions.
Lack of time and ability to dedicate ourselves to our loved ones as well as lack of expertise in care and emotional involvment can be an insurmountable obstacle.
Asking for help from outside is extremely important.
To care for one man is to care for their entire family.
Mediation in finding caretakers and assistance to the elderly is led by Valentina Nikolic who has years of experience working in this profession who has worked with over 1000 families.
We try to understand the best way we can help you through conversation.
Because the professionalism and experience in working with the elderly as well as the charater of the caretaker is important we allow you to choose your caretaker.
CARE AND ASSISTANCE CAN BE IN THE FORM OF:
- Daily care
- Night watch
- 24hr care and assistance
Shifts of 7, 10 or 15 days.
24hr shifts every other day
- Occassional checkup of the elderly and sick in accordance with their needs
- Personal hygiene (changing diapers and bed hygiene) twice or once a day
CARE AND ASSISTANCE IN HOME ENVIRNOMENT INCLUDES:
-Personal hygiene: washing, bathing, changing clothes
- Changing diapers
- Administering the perscribed therapy, control of drug use
- Assistance with eating
- Assistance with moving
- Preventing decubitis
- Obtaining groceries, medication and paying bills
- Going to the doctor
- Cooking and interior hygiene, laundry and ironing
- Engaging medical nurses
