ABC JUNIOR PRESCHOOL INSTITUTION
KINDERGARTEN AND PRESCHOOL DAYCARE HEALTHY NUTRITION
KINDERGARTEN AND PRESCHOOL are based on European programs in their organization and working methods. Children who go through our program of daily sports, artistic, and intellectual activities achieve top results in schools. The programs for the kindergarten and preschool are designed using modern methods that emphasize interaction, creativity, planned guidance, and systematic work.
KINDERGARTEN is organized in such a way that a daily four-hour program is conducted in English. The remaining part of the day is used for literacy development and acquiring knowledge and skills in the native language. In this way, children are prepared for both Serbian and English schools. Within the kindergarten, children have the opportunity to become acquainted with original content through cooperation with British and American institutions.
DAYCARE operates in a separate space, in small groups, under the professional supervision of a pediatrician and a nurse-educator.
HEALTHY NUTRITION is a project implemented in our institution, which primarily involves preparing healthy meals in our kitchen that is HACCP certified. Breakfast, lunch, and two snacks are prepared while respecting the basic principles of healthy eating:
Nutrition without sugar, white flour, refined fats, and industrially processed food
Use of all whole grain cereals (barley, rye, oats, spelt, millet)
Use of honey, malt extract, and dried fruits as the only sweeteners
Use of cold-pressed oils, flax, sunflower, pumpkin, and sesame seeds as sources of fat
Use of legumes and nuts (walnut, hazelnut, almond)
Healthy thermal food preparation without frying or exposing fats to high temperatures
Use of natural, freshly squeezed juices
Meat and dairy products, as well as all other foods, are sourced from high-quality certified producers.
Healthy nutrition in our kindergarten also involves organizing activities with children on this topic, informing parents about the principles of healthy eating, and ongoing initiatives aimed at promoting this important aspect of life.
