It paved the way to fame for many then unknown but now very popular performers (Željko Joksimović, Leontina, Nataša Bekvalac, Jelena Tomašević, Ana Nikolić, Romana, OK band, Saša Kovačević, Aleksandra Radović, Tijana Dapčević, Marija Šerifović, Dženan Lončarević, Adil, Lexington band, Tropico band, Amadeus band, Flamingosi, Jelena Karleuša, etc.). Also, "City Records" has released albums by already established performers such as Svetlana Ceca Ražnatović, Zdravko Čolić, Miligram, Sergej Ćetković, Željko Samardžić, Halid Bešlić, Aca Lukas, Goran Bregović, Oliver Mandić, Hari Mata Hari, Louis, Neda Ukraden, Riblja čorba, Seka Aleksić, Indira Radić, Milan Stanković, Dado Polumenta, Nedeljko Bajić Baja, etc.

"City Records" supplies CD, DVD, and USB editions to over 500 retail outlets throughout Serbia (STR stores, hypermarkets, large systems, bookstores, gas stations, etc.). It also engages in the distribution of CD, DVD, and USB editions through kiosk sales alongside newspapers, as well as the distribution of editions from all publishing houses in Serbia with which it has excellent business cooperation. Distribution includes entertainment, pop-rock, ethno music, and folk music.

"City Records" was founded on June 2, 1997, and officially began operations in August 1997. It currently employs more than 20 people in management, wholesale, and production. Since February 2012, "City Records" has had its own factory for the production of CD and DVD media, offering the following services to external customers, both in Serbia and abroad:

It should be noted that "City Records" is the only fully legal manufacturer of CD and DVD discs in Serbia, registered with relevant international associations, and as such, "City Records" has its IFPI (SID) number for stamper production and for each disc replication line.

To date, it has released over 1,300 CD and DVD editions, with some artists appearing 3-4 times, indicating trust. Since 2005, in addition to music editions, it has been involved in the release and distribution of DVD editions, including films (foreign and domestic), music (live performances, concerts, etc.), and educational programs for children.

It also offers anonymous young talents the opportunity to become stars, both domestically and internationally.

Successful cooperation has been established with distributors throughout Serbia and Montenegro, the former Yugoslavia, Western Europe, America, and Australia. They collaborate with over 450 radio stations in Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Macedonia.

They were the first in our region to release a music DVD and the first foreign licensed edition in cooperation with BMG and SONY music labels. They also have licensing agreements with the French publishing house "George V records," which releases the popular series "Buddha bar," on its 8th edition featuring two songs released by "City Records" (Balkanika and Biber), as well as with the German publishing house "Eastblok music," which included one song by the Biber group in its compilation "Balkanbeats vol. 2".

Since July 2006, "City Records" has been the holder of the prestigious Chambertrust seal - a mark of trust in business, awarded by the Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade and WCN (World Chamber Network).

It is one of the founders of OFPS (Organization for Collective Management of Rights of Phonogram Producers), which successfully fights against piracy in Serbia. They also have business cooperation with related organizations such as PI (Performers' Rights), UDS (Union of Discographers of Serbia), SOKOJ...

Successful cooperation has been established with companies IDJVIDEOS, KVZ, and PHONOFILE through which digital sales are made over the Internet.

"City Records" has its own online store "CityStore" at www.citystore.rs, and they have also achieved extremely successful cooperation with the online store "Kupindo" through whose platform www.kupindo.com they sell their CD, DVD, and USB editions. Recently, they have also launched their streaming platform "Balkan mYUsic" at www.balkanmyusic.com (with applications for Android, Apple, and Huawei mobile devices) in partnership with Telekom Srbija AD.

The YouTube channel "CityPlay," also owned by "City Records," featuring compilations of the greatest hits by the best performers, records exceptional results with over 17 million views.

"City Records" has been involved in humanitarian work for a long time - responding to every call for help or donation (St. Sava Temple, various appeals to help the sick or those in need, as well as talented children). They have successful cooperation with various humanitarian and other organizations and associations, such as "Great Little People," Talent Center Voždovac, Voice of the Blind and Visually Impaired, Children's Village in Kosovo and Metohija, Serbian Orthodox Church in Elementary School Sveti Sava, International Association of Medical Students, "Friend in Need," orphanages for children in need throughout Serbia... In the coming period, "City Records" plans to engage in the production of LP records due to the increasing demand for LP records in the domestic and international markets.
