Back to: Production of stamped concrete
This technology involves pouring fresh concrete mass on the prepared base, pressing special texture molds, coloring with UV-stable pigments and final varnishing with protective resins. Stamped concrete is extremely popular for paving patios, garage driveways, walkways, pool decks and patios, as it creates a monolithic surface with no joints for weeds to grow through.

The quality and lasting appearance of printed concrete depends on the precise observance of the technological installation process.
Everything starts with thorough preparation of the base, placement of formwork, reinforcement or polypropylene fibers for reinforcement, after which a quality concrete mix of the appropriate thickness is poured. While the concrete is still fresh, a colored hardener is applied to its surface to increase wear resistance, as well as a powder or liquid release agent that prevents the mold from sticking. Then, the desired pattern is pressed using special rubber molds, and after drying and washing the concrete under pressure, a final acrylic or polyurethane varnish is applied that protects the color and creates a glossy or matte finish.
The main advantages of printed concrete are reflected in easy maintenance, longevity and resistance to weather conditions.
Unlike individual behaton slabs, which can fail over time, warp or split due to frost and vegetation, printed concrete provides a stable, high-load-bearing surface. Thanks to the surface varnish, the concrete does not absorb oil, grease and dirt, which makes cleaning drastically easier and prevents cracking during winter minuses.
In order for your printed concrete to retain its full color intensity and protective shine for many years, follow a few basic care rules. During the winter months, avoid sprinkling industrial deicing salt directly on freshly made concrete (less than a year old), but instead use sand or calcium chloride-based environmental agents. Clean the surface by occasional washing with running water and mild detergents, avoiding aggressive acids. In order to permanently preserve the hydrophobic properties and prevent wear of the top layer, it is recommended to renew the protective acrylic varnish every 3 to 5 years, depending on the frequency of traffic.
