Taekwondo

Taekwondo - an ancient Korean art, whose name means "the way of the feet and fists", is based on self-discipline, respect and inner strength. During the training, the trainees learn to master the technique of strikes, blocks and movements, but also to keep calm and control in every situation. Taekwondo fosters both physical fitness and mental stability, which is why it is practiced by people of all ages all over the world.

If you or your child want to practice taekwondo, on this page you will find a list of taekwondo clubs in Belgrade.

How are movements performed in taekwondo?

Taekwondo training develops balance, speed, strength and flexibility. The exercises are performed precisely and in rhythm, which encourages concentration and coordination of movements. In children, taekwondo has a positive effect on the development of motor skills, correct posture and self-confidence, while it helps adults strengthen the body, relieve stress and maintain fitness. This sport does not imply aggression - on the contrary, it teaches how to focus energy on self-control and self-improvement. Through regular training, practitioners gain physical strength, but also mental stability and determination.

Taekwondo as a safe and disciplined sport

Although it is a martial art, taekwondo is practiced with strict rules and safety equipment. Each movement is performed under the supervision of an instructor, which makes training safe even for the youngest. Special attention is paid to discipline, respect and fair play. Participants learn to respect the coach, the opponent and their own body. It is this combination of physical strength and moral values that makes taekwondo one of the most valued sports for children and adults.

The path of self-improvement and success

Taekwondo is not just a sport, but a process of learning and growing. Each passed belt marks a step towards a new level of knowledge and self-confidence. The competitive spirit and the desire for progress motivate the exercisers to persevere, while through regular exercise habits are acquired that shape the character. Regardless of age, taekwondo encourages physical strength, calmness and self-discipline - qualities that remain present in every segment of life.
