“Radost Deci” (Joy for Children) humanitarian organization aims to improve the life quality of children and youth with disabilities through various activities.
We strive to use our enthusiasm and original approach to listen for the needs of disabled children and youth and respect them. Our team consists of people who have over a decade of experience in sports and special education and rehabilitation, as well as parents, volunteers and donators. Together, we form a group of good will who strive for a single goal which is to eliminate prejudice and promote the notion that we are all equal, despite our differences.
The “Radost Deci” humanitarian organization promotes the following activities:
- Social integration
- Sports for all children
- Sport camps
- Creative acting
- Therapy painting
- Profession training
- Cooperation with social communities and institutions
- Synthesizing and guidance of youth
- Volunteer service
- Helping institutions
According to unofficial records, over 200,000 persons with intellectual disabilities live in Serbia. A large number of them is committed in institutions where they live in harsh conditions. Many of them are unable to take care of themselves. They require constant supervision and are isolated from the outside world.
On a daily basis, we require aid in form of: food, special baby food, baby and adult diapers, medication, personal hygiene products, sanitation materials, wardrobe and similar items.
