Back to: Airbrush
Airbrush is an innovative tanning technique that allows you to achieve a tanned complexion without exposure to harmful sun rays. In addition to this advantage, it looks much more natural, and for the end result, unlike a solarium that requires several days of visits, you only need one visit.
What is an airbrush?
Airbrush is a darkening technique, i.e. applying paint using a compressor and a special spray gun. A solution containing the desired shade for self-tanning is sprayed evenly over the skin, creating a natural and even tan.
How to prepare and how long does the treatment last?
Before the treatment, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the skin in order to remove dead cells and impurities. It is important not to apply moisturizing creams or oils beforehand, as this can prevent the color from binding to the skin and get an unwanted result. The darkening procedure itself lasts from 15 to 30 minutes. During the treatment, a trained person from the salon sprays the color on the body, adjusting the intensity of the color according to your client. After applying the paint, the skin dries in the next few minutes, and the final result is visible after a few 6 to 8 hours. During this period, it is recommended to avoid contact with water and to wear tight clothing so that the color will retain better.
How permanent is the color and how to preserve it as long as possible?
Airbrush tanning provides a tanned look lasting 5 to 10 days, depending on the skin type and the frequency of showering. In order to extend the duration of the color, it is recommended:
• Hydration of the skin: Regular hydration of the skin with creams and oils will help you keep the color longer.
• Avoiding exfoliation and excessive sun exposure: Avoid exfoliation and harsh skin treatments to prevent removal of surface color. Also, excessive exposure to the sun can accelerate the loss of the desired shade.
• Regular renewal of color: In order to maintain the effect of a tanned complexion, it is recommended to repeat the treatment regularly on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
