The playhouse “Leut” is located in a beautiful and peaceful area of Vracar at 10 Timocka street. Our sailboat Leut can sail through all the countries of the world with a bit of friendship, good will and of course imagination.
Our fishing boat stretches on two decks and a total of 145m2. Every day we cast our net to catch joy, happiness, fun, new knowledge and of course new friendships. With us, teamwork is essential for happy rowing and everything else. Leut is accepting up to 30 kid passengers aged 9 and below and as many adults accompanying them. The adult passengers can meet and greet their little ones in their own section which has an area for smokers and non-smokers where they can enjoy great coffee.
Our goal is to use dancing music notes, educational games and an “adventuristic environment” to encourage children to learn about different customs and world views, to adopt a free spirit of openness and tolerance and learn to accept and understand diversity and variety.
In the modern age ruled by modern technologies, smartphones and television, where everything is available with just one click, we turn off all the electronic and instead spark some friendships with proper growth and development, where parenting is a form of art and every child is an expression of that art. Because intelligence isn’t just about genetics, it depends on mental exercise of these young minds. It is of vital importance that the kids learn how to think and not what to think - this saying coined by Margaret Mid, a cultural anthropologist is like a guiding star to us here in Leut. We do our best to use fun and games to help the children train their wit and imagination.
Ships are just like people - says the famous Dalmatian songwriter Toma Bebic in his song “Leute moj”. With us, all the kids are equally joyous, playful and carefree, smiling ear to ear.
Play is the labor of childhood!
Children’s games aren’t just games - they should be considered a serious activity. Even back in the 16th century, this became clear to the French philosopher and moralist Michel de Montaigne. You should consider a visit to Leut not just as a waste of time and energy, but a way for your children to grow, be creative and learn new skills.
And imagine what a wonderful job your kids will do in our travels. They can “work” in our mini kitchen, our hairstyling salon for girls or a workshop for the boys, to be guides in mazes, put together quizzes and then compete in them. If they need help from an expert or a mentor, we have our friendly, creative staff who will assist them as needed.
When they get tired, they can have a break in a special area with a Sony Playstation and a great selection of games or cartoons.
We treat kids as little people, but it’s very important to us that they stay children in their hearts one day even after they’ve grown up. They should still want to have fun and play games. In order for this to happen, we would love it if you let us organize birthdays for your kids that they will remember with joy. We offer specially designed catering services for the ideal experience.
And one veeeeeery important thing - we are not just a playhouse. We are the place where kids meet new friends that will last a lifetime. It will be a victory for us if one day, many years later, some of our little big people say things like “Oh, we’ve been friends since Leut…”
